A wine with a rounded, fruity taste, intense ruby red colour, no doubt one of the best known to the public. Sangiovese has won over many palates over several centuries.
In fact, it is a wine of very ancient origins that has been known by this name since the 1500's, but is believed to have been created by the Etruscans. Starting off in the areas of Lazio and Tuscany it would later spread to the North, reaching as far as Emilia Romagna and Liguria, as well as other regions.
